The Sharpless Catalogue
The Sharpless Catalogue is a seminal astronomical list of 313 H II regions (emission nebulae) located in the Northern Hemisphere. Created by American astronomer Stewart Sharpless (1926–2013) while at the U.S. Naval Observatory, it remains a primary resource for astrophotographers and professional astronomers studying star formation.
